We went to Orchids at Palm Court on Friday evening. Orchids has been named Cincinnati's top restaurant for 3 year's in a row by Zagat and 5 year's in a row by Cincinnati Magazine.

 I was excited to treat Rob to such a decadent meal!

Amuse Bouche - saffron cauliflower custard with creme fraiche and chives

First Course

We both chose the Maine Lobster Salad

An order of Blue Cheese Beignets for the table

Second Course

I had the Cauliflower Bisque

Rob went with the Marinated Herring

3rd Course

Rob had the Red Snapper "En Papillote"

I chose the Roasted Duck Breast

4th Course

Another treat to end the meal

It was an evening to remember and it's safe to say we'll be back soon! We'll also be trying the Saturday Tea this coming weekend. I'm looking forward to that!

To round out the weekend we went to Via Vite for Sunday Brunch

Creamy white polenta with Italian sausage and fried egg

Pizaa "Milanese" with grilled asparagus, poached egg and Parmigiano. This might be some of the best pizza I've ever had!

After these dishes it was time for a nap...these are definitely day "ruiners," perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
